Picket Wire Canyon visited on September 25, 2010. Picket Wire track site, aka Picketwire Canyon tracksite. Largest dinosaur track site in North America. Rourke Ranch also was one of the stops visited on the Picket Wire guided auto tour provided by the National Forest. Tours originated in La Junta at the National Forest Comanche National Grassland Office and the group met at Picket Wire Canyon trailhead for the 17.4 mile round-trip four-wheel drive guided tour through the canyon to Rourke Ranch and return to trailhead.
